Pai Wattanasiriwech

by A. Helsten

When thinking about leaving Thailand, I know I am going to miss being surrounded by people like me. I’m Thai, Thailand is my home. I’m going to miss being able to go to the market and communicate without any language barriers or cultural barriers. I love being a part of the Thai community. Next year I am planning on going to university in the US for a year and later transferring to Europe. My goal in life is to achieve financial independence so I am free to pursue activities I’m interested in and not worry about finances. If I could give my younger self some advice, I would say that a lot of the things that seem to matter greatly right now, will not really matter in the long run. I encourage other CRICS students to achieve maximum results through minimal efforts and simply to enjoy their youth. They can achieve anything they can imagine as long as they put their mind to it.
