For my senior project, I hosted a seminar led by the author of Digital Cocaine, Brad Huddleston. The goal of the seminar was to raise awareness on the importance of safe technology use within the lives of families and individuals. My project impacted the community with the opportunity to learn from a credible source how addiction to pornography, video games, and social media, amongst other dangers, affects our mental, physical, and spiritual health. This project was important to me because I care for the well-being of those around me,and I understand that when the blessing of technology is abused, depression, anxiety, and social disorders are produced as a result. Therefore, my desire was for others to have the opportunity to become educated on the subject of digital addiction and the many adverse effects it has on mental health.
